Qualifications:

  • 20+ years as a social worker

  • Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University 1996

  • Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia 2009

  • LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) license # CSW004963 Georgia

Treatment Approach:
My treatment approach is eclectic, holistic, and humanistic; it is based on the individual's needs and goals. I have training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, Nutrition and integrative methods, Mindfulness, and Addiction treatment.   When the weather is nice, we can have a "Walk & Talk" session at a local park where we get in some movement and talk about life (it's like getting 2 things done at once!) or we can meet in my outdoor office space.

My private practice is "Pet Friendly", I have 3 cats and a dog, that may (or may not) join us during a session, so you may want to consider tele-mental health/ distance counseling if you have any pet allergies.

I frequently attend workshops, and seminars, or read articles and books so I can continue to learn and grow. I am non-judgmental, sensitive, warm, loving, friendly, and funny, and I bring these qualities into my practice.  I often refer people to outside resources, books, apps, videos, support groups, and websites (See “Resources” tab)  I believe that all people can learn, grow, and heal... if you have a safe space to do so, feel supported, and you work at it!
