Qualifications:

  • 20+ years as a social worker

  • Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University 1996

  • Master's degree in Social Work from University of Georgia 2009

  • LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) license # CSW004963 Georgia

Treatment Approach:
My treatment approach is eclectic, holistic, and humanistic; it is based on the individual's needs and goals. I have training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused therapy, Nutrition & Integrative methods, Mindfulness, and Addiction treatment.   When the weather is nice, we can have a "Walk & Talk" session at a local park where we get in some movement and talk about life (it's like getting 2 things done at once!) or we can meet in my outdoor office space.

My private practice is a "Pet Friendly", I have 3 cats and a dog, that may (or may not) join us during a session, so you may want to consider tele-mental health/ distance counseling if you have any pet allergies.

I am frequently attending workshops, seminars, or reading articles and books so I can continue to learn and grow. I am non-judgmental, sensitive, warm, loving, friendly, and funny, and I bring these qualities into my practice.  I often refer people to outside resources, books, apps, videos, support groups, websites (See “Resources” tab)  I believe that all people can learn, grow, and heal... if you have a safe space to do so, feel supported, and you work at it!
